Beaconsfield Primary Launch Walk to School Zone

This Friday we will officially open and launch one of three “Stop and Drop Zones” at O’Neil road. This is a particularly special day for students and staff as they have been working closely with the Cardinia Shires’ Kate Beveridge and Bicycle Victoria to design specific stickers that have been painted on the pavement in support of getting children to actively come to school. A selected group of students have designed the logos that will be officially launched by our Mayor, Brett Owen. The students in grade 5 & 6 have been particularly supportive of our healthy achievement program and are terrific role models for siblings and fellow students. As an added incentive you will go into the draw to win a $400 voucher to spend at a local sports store. We will meet you between 8:15 and 8:30 tomorrow morning.

Word of the Day

Today in spelling, 3/4C looked at the word tension. We guessed its meaning, checked the dictionary definition, listed synonyms and came up with some great example sentences. Can you put the word tension (or any of its other forms) into an interesting sentence?

Camp Rumbug is approaching…

Just a reminder to please fill out the ‘Code of Conduct’ form and return it to school by WEDNESDAY 18th NOVEMBER! The medical form is also due back on this day. Please remember to fill out the year your child had their last Tetanus injection!

Dietary requirements MUST be put in writing and given to your class teacher so the camp has enough warning to cater for your needs. If we do not receive any information for your child, we can’t guarantee that they will not miss out on certain things such as dessert and snacks.  The camp is happy to cater for any diet but need a month’s notice to shop and plan ahead. Even if your child’s teacher knows of restrictions, it needs to be put in writing. Thank you for your understanding.
